1. Heavily loaded ephemeral stream whose viscosity increases with evaporation as it flows over a desert fan.
2. Rapidly moving variety of earthflow. This is a typical phenomenon of areas underlain by sensitive clays which may liquefy and flow following a shock, perhaps initiated by sliding.
