A measure of the quantity of data or other messages taking place between points of a communication network.
Internet
The data flowing through a network, including emails, pages transferred from a Web server to a browser, or large files being dispensed by file servers. It can also include data which is used by the network in order to carry out its function.
Geography
The movement of people and vehicles along a route. Traffic capacity is the maximum number of vehicles which can pass over a route in a given time, while traffic density is the existing number of vehicles. See Barthelemy et al.
