A term used in Australia to describe an extensive plain (normally a pediplain) that is mantled by loose rock fragments (gibber). These fragments are typically the rubble left from the destruction of a silcrete duricrust or from the breakdown of resistant conglomerates (in which case the gibber consists of quartz pebbles).
