A contract between an employer and an employee, stating the job description, pay, and conditions. The provisions of the contract can include normal hours of work, arrangements for overtime, holiday entitlement, disciplinary and grievance procedures, period of notice on either side, and any arrangements for redundancy pay beyond the statutory entitlement.
