A rare type of asteroid, distinguished by a moderately high albedo and a reflectance spectrum with a strong absorption feature at wavelengths shorter than 0.7μm and a fairly strong absorption feature near 1 μm. At present the only confirmed member of this type is (349) Dembowska, diameter 140 km and albedo 0.38.
