Symbol B0. A meson that consists of a down quark and an anti-bottom quark. It is electrically neutral, and has spin zero and a mass of 5.279 GeV. The antiparticle consists of a bottom quark and an antidown quark. Study of the decays of B-mesons has shed light on the problem of CP violation (see CP invariance).
