An in-vehicle system that combines location information from GPS sensors with mapping data to assist with route and direction finding. The user enters their desired destination and the system computes a route based on the starting point that corresponds to the current GPS location. Routing details are displayed on a screen, often accompanied by spoken instructions, and progress is tracked.
