A photograph of the Sun taken in the light of a strong Fraunhofer line (or part of the line). Most commonly, the Ηα‎ and calcium K lines are chosen for spectroheliograms, which then show chromospheric features. A spectroheliogram is produced by a spectroheliograph; if filters are used to select the wavelength, the result is termed a filtergram.
