Asteroid 10, discovered in 1849 by the Italian astronomer Annibale de Gasparis (1819–92). It is the fourth-largest main-belt asteroid, diameter 407 km, with a rotation period of 27.6 h, and is of C type. Its orbit has a semimajor axis of 3.14 au, period 5.57 years, perihelion 2.79 au, aphelion 3.50 au, inclination 3°.8.
