A commercial microsatellite programme to provide customers with reliable and frequent high-resolution images. SkySat-1 was launched on 21 November 2013, from the Yasny Cosmodrome, Russia, into a Sun-synchronous near-circular orbit at an altitude of 600 km. SkySat-2 was launched on 8 July 2014, from Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan, into a Sun-synchronous circular orbit at an altitude of about 635 km. SkySat-3 was launched on 22 June 2016, from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, India, into a Sun-synchronous orbit at an altitude of 515 km.
