释义	Hamiltonian mechanics Mathematics A rewriting of Lagrange’s equations which foreshadowed advances in statistical mechanics and quantum theory. In the notation of Lagrange’s equations, we set $p_{i} = \partial L / \partial {\dot{q}}_{i}$ and introduce the Hamiltonian $H (q, p, t) = \sum_{i = 1}^{n} p_{i} q_{i} - L (q, p, t) .$ Hamilton’s equations then have the form $\frac{d q_{i}}{d t} = \frac{\partial H}{\partial p_{i}}, \frac{d p_{i}}{d t} = - \frac{\partial H}{\partial q_{i}} .$
