This 25 October 2016 image shows the area where the European Space Agency's Schiaparelli test lander reached the surface of Mars, with magnified insets of three sites where components of the spacecraft hit the ground. It is the first view of the site from the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment camera on NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, taken after the 19 October 2016 landing event.
