A family of five-stage US rockets for launching small government satellites. Part of the motor came from decommissioned Minuteman military missiles. The first Minotaur was launched in early 2000. Orbital ATK integrates, tests, and provides space launch services for the entire Minotaur I, IV, V, and VI family of rockets. The launch vehicles are managed by the US Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center, Launch Enterprise, Experimental Launch and Test Division, Rocket Systems Launch Program located at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. To date there have been 16 launches with a 100% success rate, boosting 80 satellites into orbit. Orbital ATK’s former Taurus four-stage launch vehicle was renamed Minotaur-C on its successful maiden Halloween flight in 2017.
