An all-sky catalogue of stars from 3rd to 18th magnitude in the R-band (680–760 nm) produced by the US Naval Observatory (USNO) with a 0.2-m astrograph; URAT stands for USNO Robotic Astrometric Telescope. Observations of the northern hemisphere began in 2012 at the USNO’s Flagstaff Station in Arizona, transferring in 2015 to the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory in Chile where stars brighter than 6th magnitude were measured. The URAT1 catalogue, containing 228 276 482 million northern objects down to –15° declination, was published in 2015. The URAT Parallax Catalog (UPC), containing parallaxes of 112 177 stars, was released in 2016. The URAT catalogue was the successor to the USNO CCD Astrograph Catalog.
