A Hirayama family of asteroids at a mean distance of 2.9 au from the Sun. The orbits of family members are inclined at 6–8° to the plane of the Solar System. The family is small, and its members are of varying composition. The largest member, (349) Dembowska, of diameter 140 km, is of the rare R type, and appears to be achondritic in composition. The M-type (338) Budrosa itself, diameter 63 km, was discovered in 1892 by the French astronomer Auguste Honoré Charlois (1864–1910). Budrosa’s orbit has a semimajor axis of 2.91 au, period 4.97 years, perihelion 2.85 au, aphelion 2.98 au, and inclination 6°.0.
