A Swedish telecommunications satellite launched on 2 April 1989 by an Ariane rocket and taken out of operation on 16 January 1998. It was managed by the Swedish Space Corporation. Its coverage was primarily for Sweden, Norway, and Finland. Tele-X weighed 1.3 tonnes, measured 1.7 × 2.4 × 2.4 m, and had a solar array of 19 m.
