A file that is associated with an image map that occurs on a Web page which is maintained by the server. The file contains details of the shape of entities on the image map: whether, for example, they are circles or rectangles, the dimensions of the entity, and the URL associated with the entity to which control is transferred when it is clicked in a browser window.
