单词 Hubbard model
释义
Hubbard model

Physics
  • A model used in the theory of solids to analyse many-body problems such as the Mott transition. It is named after the British physicist John Hubbard (1931–80), who proposed it in 1963. The Hubbard model consists of a potential term for an electron at a site and a term allowing for ‘hopping’ between sites. A modification considers bosons at sites on a lattice.
