A permanent central bank committee of the Bank for International Settlements, originally representing the central banks of the Group of Ten countries and expanded in 2009 to include other members giving 25 central banks in total. The Committee is primarily concerned with the issues of the efficiency and stability of payments, clearing, settlement, and their relations with the financial markets relevant for monetary policies. Until 1 September 2014 it was known as the Committee on Payment and Settlement Systems.
