A device on a spacecraft to aid mobility in microgravity. Handholds are located throughout the crew compartment of the space shuttle, such as those to help crew members into and out of their seats.
During launch and re-entry, adjustable mirrors are attached to the handholds between two windows by the commander and two by the pilot. This allows them to see controls in areas that are obscured during these critical times. The mirrors can be removed while in orbit.
