Award founded by the RSS in honour of their past President, William Guy. Currently, the Guy Medal in Gold is usually awarded once every three years to individuals judged to have made innovative contributions to the theory or application of Statistics. Guy Medals in Silver and Bronze are awarded annually to Fellows of the Society for papers published in the Society's journals or given at a meeting organized by the Society.
