An extinct flying reptile (family Pterodactylidae), the name meaning ‘wing-finger’, that lived about 150.8–148.5 million years ago during the Late Jurassic period. Its wings were formed from a membrane extending from its elongated fourth finger to its hindlimbs, and it had a wingspan of about 1 m. It had a crest on its head and about 90 conical teeth. It was a carnivore that probably fed on fish.
