A set of surveys of attitudes towards European Union issues conducted in EU countries by the communication service of the European Commission. The Standard Eurobarometer is a regular survey of 1000 individuals in each EU country. The Special Eurobarometer focuses on specific themes for various EC services and EU institutions, whereas the Flash Eurobarometers focus on specific target groups. The surveys have recently been integrated under the general heading of ‘Public Opinion’ by the EU.
