X-rays The portion of the electromagnetic spectrum in the frequency range of 30 PHz – 30 EHz and with a wavelength of 10–.01 nm. X-rays have no applications in telecommunications (unless you count their use in the printing of semiconductor chips used in telecommunications), but they are useful as diagnostic tools in medicine and science.
