time diversity Referring to the fact that elements of a radio signal transmitted at the same moment in time can arrive at a receiver at different moments in time if they travel different physical paths of different lengths.Through the use of receiving antenna technology known variously as rake receivers and multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO), multiple spatially diverse receiving antennas can combine and correlate multiple incoming signals received at different times, to yield a stronger signal.
