EOC (Embedded Operations Channel) 1. A control channel integral to the T-carrier extended superframe (ESF) frame format for network management purposes and embedded in the framing bits (one bit per frame). 2. In ISDN, a basic rate interface (BRI) facility depends on the EOC from the central office (CO) to command the NT1 device for purposes of network management and testing.
