DAMA (Demand Assigned Multiple Access) first come, first served manner.The Earth station transmits request to send (RTS) messages to the satellite until it responds with a clear to send (CTS), at which time the message transmission ensues. DAMA allows several carriers, and perhaps a great many Earth stations, to share a given frequency band, as needed. See also downlink, FDMA, and uplink. |
