The time allotted for the sequence of events that prepares a spacecraft for launching. The time is counted backwards, so T–150 is 150 minutes to the launch, which is T–0. Countdowns can cover two days and have several rest periods known as built-in holds. The last ten counts to blast-off are usually audible.
