Processes associated with penecontemporaneous volcanicity that produce sulphide ore deposits, often lenticular in cross-section and commonly located above mineralized stockworks (the probable channelways to the sea floor). The Kuroko-type copper deposits are typical of continental-arc volcanic-exhalative sulphides.
