An Earth-observation mission by the Space Technology Institute and Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology that captures images with a resolution 2.5 m for studying the effects of climate change, predicting and taking measures to prevent natural disasters, and managing natural resources. The satellite was launched on 7 May 2013, from Kourou, French Guiana, into a Sun-synchronous orbit at an altitude of 704 km.
