The most massive iron meteorite, 30.9 tonnes, currently exhibited in a museum, on show at the Hayden Planetarium, New York. It is a medium octahedrite. It was found at Cape York, Greenland, in 1897, and was nicknamed The Tent (‘Ahnighito’ in the local language). It was brought to New York with two other large iron meteorites found at the same time and on the same site, one called The Woman, weighing about 3 tonnes, the other called The Dog, weighing about 400 kg. All three are owned by the American Museum of Natural History.
