Visigothic queen of the Merovingian kingdom of Austrasia. After her husband’s assassination she tried to rule in the name of her son Childebert II but, faced with internal revolts and the opposition of the King of Neustria, she fled to Burgundy. In old age she claimed Burgundy and Austrasia in the name of her great-grandson, but Chlothar of Neustria defeated her. She is alleged to have been executed by being dragged to death by wild horses.
