A type of tektite found in Texas, USA. The name derives from the Bedias tribe, who inhabited the area where the tektites were found. Bediasites have ablation ages of 33–35 million years. This is very similar to the derived ages of the georgiaites and the Martha’s Vineyard tektite, and together they make up the oldest group of tektites.
