A small, well-defined family of asteroids in the main asteroid belt about 2.8 au from the Sun. The three largest members of the family, (68) Leto, (236) Honoria, and (858) El Djezair, are of S type. Leto itself, diameter 123 km, was discovered in 1861 by the German astronomer (Karl Theodor) Robert Luther (1822–1900). Leto’s orbit has a semimajor axis of 2.78 au, period 4.64 years, perihelion 2.26 au, aphelion 3.30 au, and inclination 8°.0.
