A Be star that exhibits photometric or spectroscopic variations (or both) with a period of 0.4–2 days. The periodicity is very pronounced, and in some cases the light-curve exhibits two minima per cycle. The cause of the variation is unknown, but may arise from non-uniform surface brightness or from a form of pulsation.
