单词 superfluidity
释义
superfluidity

Physics
  • The property of liquid helium at very low temperatures that enables it to flow without friction. Both helium isotopes possess this property, but 4He becomes superfluid at 2.172 K, whereas 3He does not become superfluid until a temperature of 0.00093 K is reached. There is a basic connection between superfluidity and superconductivity, so that sometimes a superconductor is called a charged superfluid.

Chemistry
  • The exhibition by a fluid at extremely low temperatures, e.g. liquid helium at 2.186 K, of very high thermal conductivity and frictionless flow. The temperature at which superfluidity occurs is called the lambda point. Superfluidity occurs for the helium-3 isotope at a much lower temperature than for the helium-4 isotope, with this difference being due to helium-4 atoms being bosons and helium-3 atoms being fermions. The theory of the superfluidity of helium-3 is more complicated than that of helium-4.
