The radio astronomy observatory of the University of Manchester at Jodrell Bank in Cheshire, England, founded by A. C. B. Lovell in 1945. Its major instruments include the 76-m Lovell Telescope, the 25 × 38-m elliptical Mark II telescope, built in 1964 and resurfaced in 1987, and e-MERLIN. It hosts the international headquarters of the Square Kilometre Array project.
