A type of oscillator in which the main oscillations output from it alter the electrical conditions of the oscillator circuit so that the output amplitude periodically builds up to a peak value and then falls to zero. The blocking oscillator is a special type of squegging oscillator and is frequently used as a pulse generator for use, for example, in radar systems.
