Charts used for determining thermal diffusion in materials. First published in 1923 by H. P. Gurney and J. Lurie, they plot the Fourier number on the x-axis and a dimensionless temperature on the y-axis. The charts can be used to determine the temperature within materials that have a defined geometry such as slabs, cylinders, cubes, and spheres.
