Points in a projective space which may be used to assign homogeneous coordinates to the space. Specifically n + 2 points in an n-dimensional projective space are in general position if no n + 1 of them lie in an (n–1)-dimensional subspace. For example, four points in a projective plane, no three of which are collinear; points which might then be assigned homogeneous coordinates [1:0:0], [0:1:0], [0:0:1], [1:1:1].
