specializing in econometrics, survey sampling, and time series. Fuller spent his entire career at ISU. As a student there he obtained his BS (1955), MS (1957), and PhD (1959) in agricultural economics. Joining the faculty he was appointed Professor in 1966 and Distinguished Professor in 1983. He is best known for his 1979 paper with Dickey that introduced the eponymous Dickey-Fuller test for stationarity in a time series. Dickey was one of Fuller's 67 PhD students.
