A suit worn by crew members within a spacecraft during flight. Space shuttle crew members on flights 1–5 wore one-piece blue flight suits, with many pockets for personal items and equipment. These were worn during launch and re-entry, and provided no protection in the event of depressurization. They were also worn in orbit.

From shuttle flight 26 onwards, astronauts wore orange pressure suits during launch and landing. However, crew members now wear casual clothes while in orbit, such as shorts, T-shirts, trousers, and sweaters. These are usually custom-made in colours and patterns specific to the mission and each includes the flight badge. International Space Station crews also dress casually in space.
