The test suggested by F. P. Ramsey for assessing the acceptability or assertibility or degree of truth of a conditional A→C. It says that you should:
(a) take the set of probabilities of propositions that characterizes your current system of beliefs, and add to that the probability of 1 (certainty) of A;
(b) adjust in whatever way is needed, and in the most natural and conservative manner consilient with this change;
(c) see whether what results includes a high probability of C.
