The turbulence that can occur in quantum-mechanical systems (such as liquid helium) that can exhibit superfluidity. This phenomenon was predicted by Richard Feynman in 1955 and discovered experimentally soon afterwards. Quantum turbulence is associated with tangled vortices (see vortex dynamics).
