A graph (i.e. a network of vertices connected by bonds) that is described by quantum mechanics. Such a graph was first used by Linus Pauling in the 1930s to describe free electrons in organic molecules. Quantum graphs have since been used to describe localization in disordered solids, quantum chaos, and mesoscopic systems in nanophysics.
