A record of the data collected during a scientific experiment on a spacecraft. This data is recorded in an EDR file, from which it can be extracted and converted to a common data format (CDF) to generate a formatted file of archive data. These data sets, such as the Voyager 2 images of the planet Uranus, are available to researchers on CD-ROM and magnetic tape.
