A satellite of Saturn, in virtually the same orbit as Janus between Saturn’s F and G Rings, at a distance of 151 450 km; also known as Saturn XI. Its orbital period is 0.695 days, the same as its axial rotation period, and its size is 130 × 114 × 106 km. Epimetheus and Janus are coorbital and regularly exchange orbits when one catches up with the other. Epimetheus was discovered in 1980 on images from Voyager 1.
