Ducasse is best-known for attacking Hume on causation, and for his adverbial theory of perception, subsequently developed by Chisholm, but also for wideranging and systematic philosophical views within the analytical tradition. His books included Philosophy as a Science (1941), the more popular and polemical Art, The Critics, and You (1944), and Nature, Mind and Death (1951).
