A form of presentation of information used in a radar receiver, where the receiving antenna is continuously performing a circular scan. The signal from the target appears as a bright spot on a phosphor screen, and is refreshed on each revolution of the radar antenna. The distance and bearing of the target are given by the polar coordinates of the spot with respect to the centre of the screen, which is the location of the receiver.
