CB (Citizens Band) Radio Service

Also known in Canada as General Radio Service. A private, two-

way voice communication radio service for use by the general public on an unlicensed basis for personal and business activities. CB radio operates over a short-range of 1–5 miles in the 26.965–27.405 MHz band.

In the United States, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulates CB radio as one of a family
